April 25, 2003 I just got my new front ARB installed and new lower gears (5.29's). So a few buddies decided to head up the Nuggett Hill trail which is up the road from Carnage Canyon. Click on the aerial map below for more details.
(Aerial photo of Slaughterhouse Gulch/Nuggett Hill ) The entrance of the trail is at mailbox #8801 off the main road. We had Kevin's ATV and Jay decided to come along for the ride.
The fun all ended when I broke my front CV axle on my passengers side. This is a brand new one I got from the auto store just the other day so I couldn't believe it when I heard it pop. Since I was out of commission for the rest of the day we all took turns on Kevin's ATV and explored the rest of the trail. The front locker definately is amazing but it sure does put a lot of stress on these axles. I'm going to look for some heavy duty cv axles so this doesn't happen again.
